I’ve been a fan of CD Sleeve design for as long as I can remember (I also design them). Here, I have collated 10 of the most Visually Outstanding CD designs that I have seen over the past few years and even recently.
I don’t think these are great because of the bands they represent, but just because they have the “Wow” factor that would make you want to look at them further… Enjoy!
NOTE: I have watermarked these images, but they are copyright of their respective holders. If you know who designed them, please let me know and I’ll include their link.

Some excellent examples here Andrew, there are so many great album cover artwork examples knocking about. I particularly love the ‘Delphic’ example you have featured, the typography is interesting and image very dream like.
I may even do my own blog post featuring my own favourities at some point, you have inspired me!

@Gareth → Yeah, the Delphic one is one you can’t really miss. I was a little undecided on the Interpol album, but what won it over for me was the striking and power image juxtaposed with the modern Interpol-logotype and typography.
If you do a list, I’ll be sure to review it.
I already have a couple of designs in-mind for my upcoming Conceptual CD list…

Some nice albums here – some missing though! Haha.
Not too sure about the Feeder one either – seems a bit generic to me (but then so does their music! haha).
The Mars Volta have had a few great covers, as have Architecture in Helsinki and Funeral for a Friend.
I do find it a little bit strange that you’ve gone to the effort to watermark all the images. Seems a little strange, given they’re not your original work…

Hi Luke. The reason why I watermark the images, is so the article won't be scrapped by a spam site. However, I do see your point. From now on, I will start using a different watermark from works which are not my own.
Thanks got your input; it's great too see what different design tastes others have :)
