Andrew Kelsall, now on Twitter

I signed-up to Twitter weeks ago now, but I’ve only just managed to actually start using it! My Twitter name is AndrewKelsall — yep, no surprises there. Admitedly, I don’t know that much about this lark at the moment, but I’ve started to follow some fellow bloggers and see what it’s all about.
If like myself, you want to know more about the etiquette and fundamentals of Twitter, there are some useful comments on

I really like Twitter and I’ve been using it pretty regularly for a little over a month. I’ve met some new (to me) design bloggers with some fantastic sites, helped out bloggers with posts, and just contributed to the design community in general. It’s also nice when you Tweet about being a little down about your work at the moment that you get encouraging responses back
Have you been tracking your subscriber numbers since you joined Twitter? I’m consistently up about 300-400 since joining! So there’s another awesome benefit. Glad to see you there, Andrew!

Hi Lauren,
I’ve noticed some designers I never knew about also, after reviewing some Tweets yesterday. I’m still a little confused when someone I follow is typing a response to a message of someone I don’t. I’ll get the gist soon.
As for subscriber numbers, I haven’t noticed anything yet. That said, I have only just got my feed trouble-shooted. It’s been playing up since day one, and I think I reset my feed at some point. However, now I’ve sorted it I’ll keep track of it all.
Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, that was confusing to me, too. If you’re really curious what they’re responding to, you can click the “in response to @soandso” link to see the original Tweet. You can also control which @replies you see in your home feed. And be sure to check your Replies page because if someone replies to you and you aren’t following them, it won’t show in your home feed!
I wish there were easier ways to follow conversations! Especially when someone asks an interesting question and you want to see other’s responses.

Hi Andrew, Twitter is an excellent tool, I find that twittering about useful things helps, I usually twitter about anything design or social media related rather than twittering about feeding the cats etc
Also just to say I’m now following you, you can follow me if you wish: http://twitter.com/dot_design catch you on Twitter maybe!
