I received 2 sets of complimentary WINGStands recently, so this is a short review of what exactly they are. Basically a WINGStand is a little plastic ‘clip’ that simply attaches to your apple wireless keyboard. This enables you to then insert an iPad, iPhone or other compatible device on top. It’s a pretty neat idea—and rather than babble-on about it, I took some photos of them so you can see how they work:

Above: The WINGStand comes in both black and white.

Above: The stand comes out of the box as one unit, but splits down the middle into 2 separate stands.

Above: This shows the WINGStand upside-down. As can be seen, the circular sections attach easily to the apple keyboard.
WINGStand Montage from The WINGStand on Vimeo. The WINGStand is an adaptable mount that integrates an iPad, Smartphone, or Tablet with a Apple Wireless keyboard. For more info check out www.wingstand.com.
After using this product on my iPad, I can frankly say that this is a unique and quirky solution to typing on you tablet or smartphone. They are easy to attach and very travel-friendly due to their small size.
To purchase these, please visit the WINGStand Shop (this is Not an affiliate link).

The stand looks really neat Andrew, I’m curious, did they give you more than one? Perhaps you could have a competition on your blog to giveaway the extra one.

Ray → Yeah, I received a black and white one, but only photographed the black one which I opened. Regarding the contest, that’s not a bad idea. I may just do that!

I hate to point out a flaw with such an innovative product, but…isn’t this just the same as having a Macbook, but more awkward to pack and carry and without the performance inherent to a Macbook?
